Trina Parker - Country Manager (NZ)
With a Bachelor of Applied Science (in Agriculture) from Massey University, Trina has worked extensively in New Zealand agriculture, in pro-industry regulatory development, and industry representation roles.
Throughout her career, Trina has maintained a strong connection with agricultural and feed ingredient matters/affairs by sitting on the FIAAA (Australia) and local TbFree Committees.
In 2013, Trina started with BEC Feed Solutions to manage the establishment of BEC Feed Solutions NZ. After 4 years, BEC have grown as market leaders in providing innovative nutrition solutions namely in the feed phosphorus, magnesium, selenium and premixed nutrition space. Developing initiatives for our key products and the deliverance of key messages is an exciting challenge, which Trina enjoys. Trina sees the opportunity to deliver smart solutions to better nutrition and production is the way of the future.
Feed & ingredients directly impact on the quality of the milk, meat, eggs and fibre that we produce as a nation. Getting farmers to see that correlation is something Trina is passionate about, and the related impact on consumer perception.
Passionate about New Zealand agriculture, Trina knows that in order to continue being successful on the world stage, NZ has to maintain the quality perceived of our agricultural goods. To view agriculture in a new light, i.e. we are producers of protein sources for the world in the form of meat and dairy (amongst other things) will grow NZ’s good reputation for quality and trust. At home, Trina oversees the animal health/nutrition & finances & environmental compliance of her family’s heifer grazing & dairy beef farm in the Waikato, enjoys playing ‘social but serious’ tennis, and is involved in local primary school netball.
